Greetings and salutations!
I know, loyal readers–it has been a hot minute and I apologize for that. There has been way much activity since the last post and I know I start these each the same, but it is true!
Every spare moment, for weeks, has been spent working at the house in Fort Wayne to put it on the market or catching up on projects here. Yes, our roof here is still under tarp and that’s another story. The Fort Wayne house still isn’t sold, but it’s coming. SOON!! Restaurant world has been crazy busy and with a small staff and their vacation schedule before school starts. OY.
Abundance living and the law of attraction has been the subject matter limited reading while the rest of you darlings are sleeping, I am reading great books and the resounding theme is speak it into being–I don’t know why this isn’t talked about ever in the schools.
It’s fascinating stuff and the most current book I have been working through is Biblically based and written in 1962–Catherine Ponder. She has a whole series of books regarding the wealth of the Biblical people and I can’t wait to read about Solomon. It’s interesting how the general core of people has not changed over the years. Wealth and prosperous living, romance, health–all subject matters that are talked about. For the record, wealth and prosperity are not just financial aspects either. It could be joy, happiness, bliss, health or any other list of things. I keep a copy of Napoleon Hill’s “Think and Grow Rich” in the car–that’s what started me on this path of reading material. But oh holy cow–watch the DVD or Netflix or whatever your choice is of “The Secret”–the 10th Anniversary was just published.
It makes sense and the science behind the neurology is fascinating. Quantum physics, string theory and a lot less complicated things govern the similar trends.
You don’t like the thought of an older book? Try “YOU Are A Badass” by Jen Sincero–love this one. Hal Elrod has written a variety of books for a variety of careers–he started with “Miracle Morning” and that led to a myriad other “Miracle Morning for _______________” as nearly every up and coming way to exchange time for money is there–Real Estate, Sales, Network Marketing.
I’m going to detour a moment–Network Marketing is probably the best way to make money if you don’t want a traditional career. Yes, there are some stinker companies out there. But there are a ton of good companies that don’t have huge investment, don’t require you to keep inventory, have good products and good pay. If someone you know approaches you about looking at an opportunity–please don’t dismiss it. They believe in the product they are representing and who know–it might be an answer to all your prayers. Smart companies are going to pay for customer loyalty and team building. I have one I dearly love and if you want to know about it–hit me up. Pyramid? No, there are no Hebrew slaves involved. Oh–I know what you mean. Ok–let’s talk about it. ABC Widget Company makes widgets, sells widgets and distribute widgets. There’s a President and he makes the most money, typically, because good or bad it all falls on him. The sales people get paid for widget sales and the workers get paid for making the widgets. It all works together and all the jobs are important and they are exchanging time for money. The workers are typically going to make the least amount of pay and everyone “above them” is going to make more. So, corporate world resembles the perceived notion of a pyramid, yes? But–I digress!
Back to Hal–I like Hal. He’s very down to earth and is winning a bout with cancer–some days his wife has done entries in the blog when he can’t. Nice fellow and has had his share of obstacles, starting with a crazy, horrid accident in his early 20’s. The thing I appreciate about him most as he doesn’t dwell in the past.
My bottom line of all these books in a quasi condensed version: everything and everyone has and energy–and it’s best to vibrate with positive energy [that’s where the quantum physics comes in] so positive things are attracted rather than negative things. Be grateful for all that you have and will be receiving. Believe in yourself, be kind to others, help others along the way whether by actions or good thoughts, set your goals and be reflective each day for the better good of you and the world you live in, prosperity and abundance is more than money and you deserve it all. There’s a lot more to it than that, but you should read a few and make the discovery on your own.
For me–it’s been a game changer for a lot of things. I think the coaching aspect is very appealing. The writing aspect is also appealing. So much so that I have written a children’s book and am looking for a publisher, although I haven’t ruled out self-publishing. I have started a book of restaurant world adventures and other amusing anecdotes and I am working on an outline of a novel. But it’s a start and I have been stretched so thin in so many directions, I feel fortunate I have been able to get some ideas on paper. Still working the travel business and health and wellness business on the side.
My fitbit tells me I walk a lot and my sleep is shorter than it should be but that’s ok too. I am going to get a day off and a nap in the near future!
So read one of these books–it might be a change for you too!
